One Love - Help for Haiti

Happy Saturday! We are off and running with basketball, but I wanted to pop in and share this FABULOUS charity collab kit (in case you are like me and shop for digi kits on Saturdays hehe) from Scrap Orchard. (images are linked up)

“One love refers to the universal love and respect expressed by all people for all people, regardless of race, creed, or color.”

Forty-eight designers from around the community have joined together to bring you this incredible kit with the common purpose of raising funds for Haitian aid and relief. Our theme, “One Love”, symbolizes not only our heartfelt effort to help the people of Haiti, but also encompasses the diverse styles of all the designers involved in this project. This kit represents the diversity of our community and shows that even though we are all different, when we come together the result is truly spectacular.

The proceeds from the sale of this kit will be donated to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. We chose the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund not only because it embodies the spirit of One Love, but also because 100% of the donations will go to the relief and recovery efforts in Haiti and because they are working to provide both immediate relief and long-term support to the earthquake survivors.

This product is only available for a limited time.

Please give back and help give hope to the people of Haiti. How much better can it get when you receive such an amazing kit in return?! I’m so grateful to have been able to contribute to this collaboration!

This beautiful kit includes 114 papers, 356 elements, 3 alphabets, 6 page templates and 1 hybrid template and 16- 12 in. x 12 in. .png quick pages.

Have a great Saturday - thanks for stopping by!

Going, going, gone...

Studio Janet is closing down shop on January 15. (*insert my sad face here*) BUT - she has one final grab bag, and it's a DOOZY! If you are a fan of templates, then you have to check it out, because she has some treats in there! In addition to the templates, there is a coupon for a FREE template set, AND a coupon for 70% off!

OH - and the shop says the grab bag ended on January 6, but I just read over on Janet's blog that she is extending that until her shop closes on the 15th. YAY!

I have a list going of my *must haves* from Janet's shop...I am for sure getting one of the Fat Packs, and I also have my eye on a few other template sets.

NOW - on to the GOOD NEWS! Janet is not leaving the digi community forever (YAY!) - she is embarking on a NEW endeaver at The Daily Digi! The site launched on Jan 1 and I am already a big fan - I can't wait to see what she has in store! Right now, it is getting started with lots of tips and tricks and general information - check it out, and add it to your faves!

Are you keeping up with project 365? I've been having so much fun figuring out what to photograph each day - I need to get organized and share my pictures!

Right now - it is back to the "grind" as I am lunch blogging, haha...

Thanks for stopping by - have a great day!

Gals Weekend...

Hey! I scrapped! WHOOHOO!

I did some digi shoppin' on the weekend (Sweet Shoppe *finally* reopened, their new site is FAB, and of course, there were a million great new kits, lol!) and so I was eager to unzip my new kits, and get scrappin!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this new kit by Dani Mogstad - Sweet November! These colors are SO RICH! Everything you need is in this kit! I didn't have to go in search of a thing to finish my layout. This is a fall/Thanksgiving kit, without being overly "Thanksgiving-y" - you know what I mean?

I also snagged these funky Tattered Overlays 2 from Lynne-Marie at CatScrap. OH MAN are these FAB! I love the texture, and they are really easy to use (meaning, I got it to work on the first try, lol...). I also grabbed the Photo and Page Overlays too. I can't wait to shabby up some more papers and photos with these!

These photos are from my Gals Weekend at the beginning of November - is it time for the spring weekend yet??? We have SO MUCH FUN on our weekends! As you can see, the drinks were flowing, and there was a ton of girltalk and lots of laughs. We shopped, hung out, and went to the movies - it was a FAB weekend!

Thanks for stopping by - have a FAB Tuesday!

A willing subject...

Now - ordinarily, I get "grumble, grumble" and rolling eyeballs when I pull out the camera, lol. BUT, lately I've been getting some cooperation! YAY! I guess they are getting used to me and my camera practice, lol. I am constantly picking up different tips here and there, and I usually want to test them out right away. A lot of times, it's just me and the dog, - so I'm always happy when there is a son or daughter nearby to practice on!

This is the same photo I shared last week in the Before and After post. And I finally figured out what happened with it - I had the camera set to CWB (custom white balance) from the last time I had used the camera, which was entirely different lighting circumstances - so that is why it came out so dark! SO MANY THINGS to remember with photography! I look forward to the day when it will all be second nature! But thank goodness for photshop magic, to save my mistakes, haha!

Pssstttt...And right now they have a HUGE COLLAB available FOR FREE if you spend $10. If you spend $20, you get a matching mini accordian album. Happy shoppin'! Have a MARVELOUS MONDAY!

Sweet Serenity...

I thought this was a good page to post for a busy Monday morning! I found some time yesterday to scrap and play with some new things.

Do you know Flergs? Do you like sparkles and glittah? Then you *HAVE* to check out her store at ScrapbookGraphics! I have had her glitter styles in my Kaboodle wish list FOREVER, and finally grabbed a few last week. Well, fast forward, I have used them, and played with them, and...ummm...I *will* own them all!

On this layout, I used the pastel glitter style to sparkle and gittahfy my title. Is that not the COOLEST THING EVER?

Right now, the *HOT* items in Flergs store has to be the Grab Bags. I grabbed them both (lol) and they are an EXCELLENT value! She has a Grab Bag for Girls and a Grab Bag for Boys each for $5, and it's easily $20 worth of products in each grab bag. And don't be worried that your going to get all sparkly for boys. It's definitely a BOYS kit, ykwim? Lost of rusty and grungy stuff in there, with a fab "boy" color scheme.

Saturdays are for SHOPPIN'!

Are your Saturdays filled with household chores and errands? Do you shuttle kids around to basketball, soccer, martial arts, or etc? I say Saturdays are for SHOPPIN'! I can remember, as a little girl, (of course I was a BORN GIRLY GIRL SHOPPER) Mom would start talking on Tuesday or Wednesday about how we were going SHOPPING on Saturday. I grew up in a very small town, it was a 45 minute drive to the nearest mall (and those 2 malls were small!), and about TWO HOURS to a really good retail complex. That was the MOTHERLOAD - if we were going to drive the 2 hours to the REALLY GOOD MALL. I'd count and re-count my babysitting stash and allowance, and daydream all week about what I could buy....Aaaahhhh! It was FAB! Heaven forbid if there was SNOW in the forecast - that would be a devastating blow if we weren't able to go...(the HORROR!)

Well I *STILL* like to shop, I'm *STILL* a girly girl, and go Ga-Ga over the purses, shoes, belts, jewelry, and on and on and on, lol. Shopping sure has changed for me - I live close to dozens of shops and malls, so I don't have to plan my trip a week in advance.

With Digi Scrappin' - you don't even have to leave your house! Do you Kaboodle? I recently joined, and let me tell ya - this is a FAB WAY to keep all of those digi kits you WANT organized when you are browsing the different digi shoppes. If you are like me, you have a TON of favorite shoppes/designers to visit (just see the blinkies on the right side of this blog for some of my faves). Whenever I see a kit, elements, or brushes and actions that I covet and lust after, I just clickety click on my "Add to Kaboodle" button from the toolbar (install the toolbar - you NEED the toolbar) and it adds it to my list, and then takes me back to the page I was browsing. SLICKETY SLICK! Fabbity FAB!

And here is the latest kit I just added to my Kaboodle - I am going to TREAT MYSELF to this (Funky Junky Spring Fling) today, after I finish my Saturday chores and errands! See the darling QP Album? I think I *need* that too!

Have a FAB SATURDAY - Shoppin', errands, chores - whatever you are doin' today!

Good Golly Miss Molly!

I have been a not-so-fab blogger! YIKES! It's been a crazy couple of months! Starting around late November, I started having computer problems, and they just continued to escalate. LOTS OF LOST HOURS of productivity! I won't bore you with all the details, I'll just skip on over to the good part, which is: My new computer is officially up and running! WHOOHOO!

Effective last night, I have moved ALL of my digi kits over to my new machine (with the exception of one stubborn kit, lol) and I am itchin' to get scrappin'! I still have to move my photos over too, so no scrappin' yet, as I ran out of steam last night at 11:45pm. I consoled myself by heading over to Scrapbook-Bytes and making a few purchases from Melissa Bennett's shop. DON'T YOU JUST LOVE all of her kits???

I treated myself to:

Spring Peeps Revamped

Bounce

and Love N' Junk

How fun are these kits? My fab new blog banner is using Love N' Junk. I can *hardly* wait to make one using that darling li'l bunny from the Spring Peeps Revamped kit.
